Culture Night 2026 at RCPI
The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland are thrilled to announce that we will once again be taking part in the annual nationwide Culture Night initiative, taking place on Friday 18 September 2026. Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir is a national moment, celebrating all that makes up the richness and diversity of Culture in Ireland today, connecting people to cultural activities locally and nationally and aims to open up pathways to ongoing engagement.
RCPI will be opening its doors from 4pm to 9pm, welcoming the public to wander the rooms of our historic home of No 6 Kildare Street at night – there’s nothing quite like it. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to offer information about the building and College, as well as sharing their own experiences.
You can visit our new exhibition, Hard Hats & Vaccines: Fifty years of the Faculties of Occupational Medicine and Public Health Medicine which explores the development of these medical specialties, through some of the objects, archives and books that form part of RCPI’s unique heritage collections.
Visitors will also be able to see the shortlisted entries for in the Faculty of Occupational Medicine 50th Anniversary Art Competition, and vote for the people’s choice award.
To make the evening more special, we will have a special performance by the Dawson Chorus, one of Dublin’s newest pop choirs. They have performed songs by the likes of Lady Gaga, Lewis Capaldi, Coldplay, Chappell Roan, Dua Lipa, Madonna, Amy Winehouse, The Corrs, and many more. They will be performing on the night, from 7.45pm to approx. 8.35pm.
Our open house, as well as our performance is completely free. For more information on our Culture Night events, click here.
