RCPI launch Dublin Festival of History events
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting two events for this upcoming Dublin Festival of History (26 September - 11 October 2026). Dublin Festival of History is brought to you by Dublin City Council and organised by Dublin City Libraries, in partnership with Dublin City Council Culture Company.
On Wednesday 30 September, 6-7pm, Artist Lynn Kennedy and Dublin City Council (DCC) Historian in Residence Antonia Hart explore the lives of fascinating Irish women through portraits and stories. You'll have the chance to see a beautiful collection of oil portraits while hearing about the lives of women such as Dorothy Stopford Price, Lena Rice, Margaret Cotton Jury and Oonagh Keogh, to name just a few.

On Monday 5 October, there will be an afternoon seminar on Dublin's historic guilds, first covering some of the city's trade guilds such as apothecaries, brewers, and coopers. Following that will be a discussion on the religious guilds of St Anne and St George Martyr. Tea and coffee will be provided.
