Changing Perceptions: Women of Art and Medicine at RCPI - Guided Tour
Art historian Dr Kathryn Milligan will lead a special tour of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland's art collection.
As part of our series of events for Heritage Week, the special guided tour will bring the portraits of and by women to prominence, and is an important correction, demonstrating the changing role of women in our history, in the sphere of medicine, and in artistic practice.
Kathryn Milligan is an art historian specialising in nineteenth and twentieth century Irish art. Her first book, Painting Dublin, 1886 - 1949: Visualising a changing city, was published by Manchester University Press in 2020.
