New Heritage Centre Web Pages

The RCPI Heritage Centre is delighted to announce the launch of its new Heritage Centre Web Pages, part of the College's public web site.

The new web pages are part of a series of developments to improve the Heritage Centre's online profile, and promote awareness and access to our unique collections. Each of the four component parts of the Heritage Centre, Dun's Library, Archive, Genealogical Collections and Heritage Items, have their own dedicated page giving an overview of the collections, details of catalogues and how to access the material. There is also a short history of the College.

As part of the Heritage Centre's online development the online library catalogue is undergoing some essential maintenance work, making it unavailable at present. The improved catalogue will, hopefully, be available again soon, until then please contact the Librarian with any enquires about the book collections.
The new online catalogue for the archive collections, part of the current Wellcome Trust funded cataloguing project, will also been available soon on the new web pages. At present the collection lists of the four collections already catalogued as part of this project can be downloaded from the archives page of the Heritage Centre web site. The collections available are the Kathleen Lynn Diaries, Saint Ultan's Hospital Papers, Sir Dominic Corrigan's Papers and Sir Patrick Dun's Hospital Papers.

We plan to continue and develop the new web pages over the coming months making additional information and material available on the site. The aim of the Heritage Centre is to make as much information as possible available to researchers, and we would welcome any feedback on the pages, or any of the other developments currently taking place in the Heritage Centre.
