RCPI President Prof Crowe with the 4 finalists |
On 15th October, as part of the St Luke's Symposium, the RCPI Heritage Centre held the final of the RCPI History of Medicine Research Award. The award, now in its third year, aims to promote research into, and public awareness of, the history of medicine in Ireland.
As with previous years the short listing panel has a hard time selecting the four finalists who would present their research on the day, but in the end four were selected;

The presentations were well researched, informative and engaging, and it was a very enjoyable afternoon. It was no easy task for the judges to select the winner, but in the end Dr Clara Cullen was announced as the winner of the RCPI History of Medicine Research Award 2013.
