RCPI to host Great Music in Irish Houses concert

The KBC Great Music in Irish Houses Festival runs from 10 - 15 June 2014 and features world-class musicians performing in beautiful buildings in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare. We are delighted that our historical home at No.6 Kildare Street has been chosen as one of this year's venues for the festival.

The American pianist Richard Goode will make his Irish debut at No.6 Kildare Street on Wednesday 11 June 2014 at 8.00pm.
Through his numerous performances with major orchestras, recitals in the world’s music capitals and extensive and acclaimed discography, Richard Goode has won a large and devoted following worldwide. Having celebrated his 70th birthday last year, he continues to perform at the highest level across Europe and the USA with highlights this season including performances with the New York Philharmonic and Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and recitals at the Wigmore Hall, Aldeburgh Festival, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the major halls across the US, including Carnegie Hall.
His concert in No.6 Kildare Street will feature evocative music by Janacek, Schumann and Debussy's Preludes Book I.  Tickets cost between €15 and €50 and are available to buy from the National Concert Hall by phoning 01 417 0000 or visiting the National Concert Hall website.
