Step back in time at Culture Night in RCPI

We are delighted to announce that we will be throwing open the doors of our magnificent home at 6 Kildare Street for Culture Night again this year.

This year we will be partnering with the Letters of 1916-1923 Project and the Irish Great War Society to create an evening of activities relating to Ireland’s revolutionary period.

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland building at 6 Kildare Street will be open to the public from 5pm to 10pm on Friday 22 September. Visitors will be free to wander around the building and discover its history. Across the evening there will be demonstrations, interactive exhibitions, augmented reality and live readings relating to life 100 years ago.

The event is free and booking is not necessary, just drop in any time.

Culture Night is a unique night in the Irish calendar when a myriad of culture events and activities are staged for free across the city. Culture Night creates an awareness and interest in the rich diversity of cultural organisations such as galleries, theatres, historic sites, museums, public spaces, churches, nature parks and libraries. As an added bonus all events are free of charge.

For more information on the many events that are taking place around the country visit  the Culture Night website.
