200 years of Caesarean Section – Dr James Barry’s Legacy and A Tale of Three Cities brings together colleagues and experts to explore the history, practice and evolving understanding of Caesarean Section through the remarkable story of Dr James Barry. This unique international meeting will take place across Cork, Edinburgh and Cape Town with one in person day in each city. Participants can join their local meeting in person and follow the other two events online, creating a shared learning experience across the three locations. The National Perinatal Epidemiology Centre (NPEC) is a research and clinical audit centre based in Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH).
