9:30 - 18:30
Glucksman Library, University of Limerick
The Annual Meeting of the History of Science, Technology and Medicine (HSTM) Network Ireland takes place this April in the Glucksman Library of the University of Limerick. The theme, "The History of Knowledge in Ireland: Where do we Stand Today?" covers panels on sites and circulation of early modern knowledge, medical practices and botanical knowledge, and Irish astronomy and the negotiation of power.
The HSTM Network Ireland seeks to foster research, teaching and public engagement in the history of science, technology and medicine in Ireland. The network brings together researchers residing on the island of Ireland who are interested in these subjects regardless of whether they study Ireland or another place. We also welcome members residing abroad who are interested in the HSTM of Ireland.
They aim to raise the profile of the history of science, technology and medicine on the island of Ireland and to link Irish researchers to the international community of scholars.
