Typhoid, Cockles & Terrorism: How a Disease shaped Modern Dublin - Public Open Day

Typhoidland are delighted to announce the launch of their newest exhibition project ‘Typhoid, Cockles & Terrorism: How a Disease shaped Modern Dublin’.

Come along to our free public open day to find out more about ‘Dear, Dirty Dublin’!

Be the first to see our three new exciting exhibitions on the history of public health and typhoid treatment in Dublin, (mal)adapted imperial infrastructures and enteric infections in Dublin Bay, and biowarfare planning during the Irish War of Independence. Explore how typhoid impacted your neighbourhood via our interactive portal. Dive into our new graphic novel on the often tragic realities of Edwardian outbreak control and watch our animations to learn how the history of typhoid relates to Dublin’s unofficial anthem “Alive, Alive Oh”.

This event is generously hosted by our partners Royal College of Physicians of Ireland Heritage Centre.

No booking required.
