Museum Project

We are developing ambitious plans to create Ireland's first publicly accessible Medical Museum in our home at No. 6 Kildare Street.

Our Vision

The development is a key part of our commitment to making our unique historic collections accessible to the widest possible audience. This new museum will preserve our rich medical past, provide opportunities for future innovation and enhance educational learning experiences – for the Irish public, for young people, for international visitors, for our college community, and for historians. We seek to:

  • Provoke new conversations and improve understanding to promote good health
  • Inspire the healthcare professional of tomorrow and deliver research opportunities
  • Enrich the intellectual and cultural life of physicians and the wider community

Museum Board

This ambitious project is being led and overseen by our Museum Board. The Board membership is enriched by external experts in related fields and reports directly to the College’s Executive and Council, in accordance with our governance structures.
