Maeve McCarthy is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading contemporary figurative painters. Working across the genres of landscape, still life and portraiture, McCarthy’s work is notable for its composition, colour and light.
A graduate of the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, McCarthy has exhibited widely in Dublin and internationally, with her work being recognised by awards from the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) and the Arts Council.
A full member of the RHA, McCarthy’s works can be found in the collections of the National Gallery of Ireland, the National Self Portrait Collection, and the Royal Dublin Society.
